Every blade created at Thorson Forge starts life as an unassuming piece of metal that has yet to fulfil its destiny… Dale repeatedly heats, bends, hammers, and grinds the metal until he is satisfied with its shape and durability. When the forging process is finished, he grinds and sharpens each blade until it is razor sharp and ready for battle!

The Best Blades Come From Thorson Forge
I was introduced to Thorson crafted blades on a trip to visit a Bushcraft friend of mine in the Pacific Northwest – he was showing off several Thorson knives and axes and I was blown away by how effortlessly they blended rugged dependability and functionality with artistic beauty. Needless to say, I now own a Mara EDC and Custom Thorson Tomahawk – they are by far the best blades I own!

Dale is a classically trained Blacksmith who devotes his time and energy to making blades that are as beautiful as they are functional. Dale’s vision for every blade he makes is that it will be used to its full potential and eventually be handed down as a family heirloom.
Michael
Owner, Wagon Box Leather
Michael is an avid outdoorsman, bushcrafter, leather craftsman, and Executive Chef who relies heavily on sharp blades to earn a living and to survive back country camping trips in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
